Worst Hotel experience I have EVER had!!! I'm from Vancouver BC and go to
Whistler 2-3 times a year. I used to stay at this hotel when I was younger
however hadn't stayed here in quite some time. I decided on my last trip to
Whistler to try it again and was not impressed at all! We stayed there for 3
nights and everyday we put the maid service sign out on our door and NEVER once
got service!!! No fresh towels and our bed was never ONCE made!. Every time we
went and talked to the front desk staff they were extremely rude and said that
someone would come later to deal with it and no one ever came! Our neighbours
are either side of us were extremely noisy and we could not get to sleep and
this was at 3am! The Security Guard came to our room and blamed us for the
noise...just me and my husband in the room, when in fact the Party was next
door! When we complained the next morning and asked to speak to the manager, the
front desk staff kept saying he was in a meeting and e never once came and
talked to us. At the end of our stay at checkout they accidently did not refund
my security deposit and it took a whole week for them to refund it to me because
nobody knew what they were doing! Not to mention this hotel is extremely old and
outdated and not very clean. Do Not Stay here. They do not care about their
customers just MONEY MONEY MONEY.

I got married on this trip and it was fabulous! I love whistler and would live
there if I could. My only complaint was that the chalet was a little dated and
our doorknob broke! Also there were only like 5 channels on the tv and the hot
water didn't last. Other than that it was amazing!

This hotel is not on the village walk way but is centrally located just steps
away. The price was good, but the hotel was standard. Reminded me of the hotels
I stayed at on spring break in college. Other then the noisy neighbours, the
stay was nice.

Stayed one night. We had a suite, it was a good deal. There was a kitchenette
which was stocked with everything needed for cooking. The balcony was out of
service but for we didn't need it. In overall quite clean. Just two of the four
chairs were covered of dust. Only two of them have been cleaned. Anyway, we
spent a good time there.

Found it a little hard to find as it was on a cul-de-sac tucked away from the
main road and when we did find there was no parking to use whilst you checked
in. We parked at the front and I ran in to see where we could park and told we
were ok outside for 10 mins whilst we checked in. The check in was very good and
the receptionist very helpful. We were not in the main hotel but in the block
across where we had secure underground parking at a charge! Our room was very
good and clean everything that we expected, nice and quite and had a balcony
with a couple of chairs & table. Would definitely stay again.

Pros - In Lower Village, Clean, Not on main stroll in village so a bit less
screaming drunks, Excellent Value (Got Queen Room for 70ish a night) has small
kitchenette which is very handy (stocked with dishes and cutlery)
Cons - Bed upstairs / bathroom and mirrors down stairs so for a girl getting
ready is a little difficult, (I just kept my suitcase on kitchen table) Extreme
noise when people walk past inside the hotel, (this is probable just the loft
room that creates the echo of 2nd floor and 3rd floor noise combines) - Our
balcony door didn't lock properly and all the balconys are just seperated by a
privacy diveder but you can walk right on to your neighbors and ours didn't lock
which freaked me out when we would go out/sleep. Between the noise in the hotel
and the un secure door I didn't get that much sleep on my 'relaxing vacation' -
Whistler in lower village is ALWAYS Noisey but I usually turn on fan/air
conditioning to drown it out but thiers didn't work so that was not a option
this time. I would probaly stay again if it wasn't in a loft room/ or was in a
group. Going as a couple I would stay somewhere else, I have stayed in whistler
5 or 6 times in last year and this would be my least favorite hotel by far. Oh
and checking in and calling down to the front desk the guys were less then
pleased to be working let alone talking to people, not friendly at all. On check
out the girls at front desk were nice and friendly,

Didn't want to stay at the more expensive hotels, took a quick look and thought
this must be a gimmick!! Too inexpensive!! But it was real. The room was
perfect, first time with a Murphy bed and they are simple and convenient to use.
The rooms are complete with anything I could want, the hotel is kept clean and
well maintained, and the location was perfect. Bicycle cage in the garage, right
in the village but also right next to the cycle/walking trails and the base of
the hill. Plan on going back as soon as I can with my wife. The staff at the
front desk were knowledgeable, friendly and always helpful with my many
questions. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and would choose it over the
larger hotels based on value for money and personal attention. |
