We stayed here from 11-15 Jan 2012 and our stay was great. The hotel is
in a fabulous position right outside the Blackcomb/Whistler gondola and
chairlifts, a very short walk to all the pubs, shops and restaurants
around town and there is a great irish pub downstairs, which we visited
3 times in 4 days!
The room we stayed in was small, but the views were fantastic, all the
amenities and facilities were great and we would not hesitate to stay
there again on our next visit.

This hotel is located at the base of both lifts. Extremely convenient to
both mountains. Two whirlpools and a heated pool. Get a room on one of
the higher floors. We had a mountain view that over looked the pool and
it could get a little loud at night. I REALLY appreciated not having to
walk all around town lugging my gear at the end of the day when I was
tired.

We really liked the Pan Pacific Mountainside, but there were some
drawbacks. The pros: the rooms/suites are cozy and nicely appointed. We
especially liked the gas fireplace. Don't worry about the Murphy bed...
It is comfortable enough. The location and convenience could not be
better. We rented our skis in the hotel, stored them in the
complimentary lockers, and walked 100 feet from the lockers to the
gondola. Lovely hot tub. Easy valet parking. Reasonably quiet, even
though it is right in the Village and our suite overlooked the pool/hottub
The cons: not 4-star service. Room service breakfast was delivered on
time, but lukewarm and not very good. No automatic turndown service (
which would actually be appreciated, given the Murphy bed, and we've
come to expect turndown service in 4 and 5-star hotels.) Minor issue,
but worth noting. Not much of a lobby. The person who cleaned the room
did not restock the coffee/tea. Toilet didn't flush properly. The most
annoying thing was that there are only two elevators serving the whole
hotel, and in the afternoon when the lifts close, you have to wait
forever.
In sum, perfectly comfortable and amazing location, but next time we'll
go back to one of the other lovely places we've stayed in Whistler and
schlep our skis a little bit.

My hubby and i have just stayed at the Pan Pacific Mountainside. It
really is the most convenient location on the mountain...a 30 second
walk to the lifts is magic! We had such a great time we extended our
stay by 5 days. The staff were really helpful with booking and info on
all the things to do around Whistler.
The rooms were clean and had a self contained kitchen with an oven and a
full sized fridge. The fire was a nice greeting after a day on the skis.
The Dubh Linn is the hotels food provider which is handy as you can dine
in and enjoy the Irish band or slink away and have it delivered to your
room...however the food is fairly average. Although my husband enjoyed
the Irishness of it all-I would have liked something a bit different.
The food in Whistler is all fairly standard unless you make an effort to
find something good....if nachos are your thing then you will love the
food.Review of the Pan Pacific Hotel Whistler Mountainside

I have stayed at pretty much every resort, hotel, condo, you name it,
within Whistler village as well as Blackcomb village, and this hotel has
it all. The location is absolutely perfect. Ski out the door about 200
feet to the main gondola up Whistler mountain. Downstairs is a great
Irish pub as well. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were
tastefully decorated, the pool and hot tub over look the mountain... I
can't rave enough about this place. We had a junior suite with murphy
bed which left us a large room to entertain in during the day and a
really comfortable bed at night. I was worried when they told me what
kind of bed it was, but the 15" mattress and the solidly built bed
itself took away all of my worries. A must stay in Whistler.
Room Tip: PLEASE spend a little extra and get a mountain side room. The
views first thing in the morning are spectacular.

I live in Vancouver, and snowboard almost exclusively at Whistler
Blackcomb. The mountains are second to none, and being so close to
Vancouver, it's hard to go anywhere else.
And after a great day on the hills, it's hard to just pack it in and
head home, knowing half the fun is in the apres :)
For the last 10 years or so, I've made a point of staying in Whistler
with friends for ski weekends. I would estimate that I've stayed in 18
hotels in the village, north village, creekside, and upper village over
the years.
this was my first time staying in the Pan Pacific Mountainside, and I
must say, it was about time. Every time we came down the mountain, we'd
look at the hotel and wish we could stay there, and enjoy the amazing
hot tub that looks over the bustling village and the ski hills.
the service was superb, the room was beautiful and provided us with a
kitchen (that came in handy when we came home after the bar and wanted
food!). The location can't be beat.
we look forward to staying there again!!!

We usually stay at the Fairmont Chateau but we wanted to be closer to
the Cornucopia functions so we picked the Pan Pacific Mountainside. It
was very convenient. We had a one bedroom suite with a king sized bed.
According to the front desk their sister hotel, Pan Pacific Whistler
Centre, does not have king sized beds so be forewarned. The rooms are
fine, although the bedroom was a bit on the small side. The only
downside was the noise from the pool/hot tubs. The sound really carries
so if you are 'early to bed' types you may want to be on the other side
of the hotel. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and parking is
the same cost whether you park your own vehicle or have it valet parked.

Room was very clean and staff was helpful.
There was some confusion and we were not provided free parking
($25/night) but they were helpful for all other needs. There was free
parking available across the street.
