We used the ski concierge for the 3 days we were skiing. Basically, we just
unpacked our skis from out ski bag (which they said they would do for us) and
they took the skis for us. Our skis and boots were then waiting for us every
morning at the wizard lift at Blackcomb which was about a 5 minute walk from the
hotel. One day we decided to stop for drinks at the bottom of Whistler - no
problem just hop the shuttle back over to Blackcomb by 5 to exchange our boots
for shoes. It is really nice to have a ski vacation without lugging your skis
around everywhere!

The hotel was definitely one of the nicest I've ever stayed at. Nice stonework
in the lobby and bathrooms. A nice tub that filled up really fast. Gas fireplace
in the room and a small balcony. The closet was huge! We could unpack all of our
gear into the closet and keep it out of sight. We only used the pool and hot tub
once but it was quite nice. One of the three hot tubs was closed while we were
there, but there was still plenty of room. The wait service at the pool was a
nice feature, but I was disappointed that they did not have any local wines and
the only beer was coors light. I don't completely understand why she couldn't
have walked 50 feet to the inside bar and got us drinks from in there.
Also, the sidecut restaurant is delicious. I had the venison steak - yum! The
sauce selection was a bit overkill but the meat was really well prepared.

Just returned from a stay at the Four Seasons Hotel, not your normal hotel,
suggest they change the name to Four Seasons Lodge. Rooms and food excellent.
Very cold entrance, why not light the fires! Service is not managed at all, is
the hotel? Requests to see the Manager during our 11 day stay, but no show, why
employ a Manager who will not meet his Clients!!! Deputy v. good. Suggest cut
costs - no Manager, then perhaps light the fires.
Check-in Rooms do not appear to be available until 4 - 5 pm!!
Be aware, they charge the total cost of your stay one month ahead of your
arrival!!!!
If you notice, from the reviews, no responses from the hotel!

The customer service is excellent, the location is fantastic, rooms are
beautiful and all hotel staff are superior to any we've ever experienced.
We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights and this was too short! Although the hotel
is not right on the mountain it is such a short walk from the wizard chair lift
that really it's not relevant. We especially enjoyed the ski concierge at the
base of the mountain always ready and available to pick up our skis. The hotel
has a storage facility for your boots and other gear you don't need while
skiing. When you finish your ski day you just trade your ski boots for your
normal gear. They also serve you complimentary cookies and hot chocolate.
Free wine tasting every night in the hotel bar between 4-6... this is served
with complimentary cheese platter. All the food/ wine is local. We really
enjoyed this. We had fantastic service here (Andree from New Brunswick) thanks
for your service! We looked forward to seeing you after hitting the slopes!
The hotel sent us up a complimentary cup cake platter to celebrate my birthday
(with candles). The only way they could have known it was my birthday was on
account of my mother ringing to send me a bottle of Champaign for my birthday.
The hotel has a fantastic shuttle service from to the village. One night we were
late for our dinner reservation and just missed a shuttle (they run every 10
minutes) so they arranged for our travel via the hotel car (a Mercedes SUV). The
driver gave us his card to arrange our pick up.
No request we made was too difficult! Cannot say enough about this hotel. We
LOVED IT and will be back!
Thanks so much guys for looking after us!
When we go back to Whistler we won't consider staying anywhere else!

Whistler Room Tip: You don't ski in to the hotel- you ski to the base of the
mountain, hand the conceirge your skis, change your boots and walk to the hotel
(less than 5 minutes) through the village. It's a pleasant walk. We had the King
Deluxe with the fireplace and a small balcony. It came with a walk in closet,
soaking tub, large shower, double basin washroom etc. It was perfect.

Beautiful rooms, the staff are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble, a
little on the pricey side but then you expect that in the Four Seasons. Would go
back there every time.

Beautiful setting with luxury cabin-like rooms. Surrounded by mountains. Hotel
is located about a 5-10 minute walk to the village. The Four Seasons provides a
free shuttle bus to both the village and various ski spots. Free internet, which
for most luxury hotels is not free, was a plus. The pool area is incredible.
Only negative was service at the bar area. The waitress was incredibly slow.
Fortunately, we were in no hurry. However, multiple tables around us, including
one with small children, were quite upset. We've stayed at a few Four Seasons
and unfortunately, on this occasion, the service did not live up to normal
standard. Everyone else ... reception, valet, housekeeping, etc., were great.
Outside of the bar service, an overall pleasant and relaxing stay.

We arrived in Whistler on a Thursday night in October -- not exactly a busy time
for the village. So when we pulled up to the Four Seasons in our rental car, at
about 7pm in the evening, there was nobody in sight. No valet, no bellman, no
nothing. So after we hauled our own bags out of the car began to enter the
building, the one staff member who seemed to be working saw us and came running
to help us. Understanding that that was not the standard welcome at a Four
Seasons hotel, I think he tried to give us excellent service for the rest of our
stay. Just a small glitch that I can easily overlook.
After a quick check-in process, we went up to our room on the 8th floor (1 from
the top). We had booked a premium view room (the best view), and were offered a
suite upgrade for $50, but we declined since I didn't want to compromise a view
(although I'm sure the suites had good views too). Paying for the upgrade is
certainly worth it. Although our room was $100 more than the base room, our view
was certainly the best to be had in my opinion. I wouldn't really want to stay
in an interior courtyard view down on the 2nd floor. Not really what I'm in
Whistler for. Also, since we were celebrating our 1st anniversary, the manager
left sparkling wine and chocolates in our room.
The room is stunning -- I particularly appreciate the wood work detail. A
beautiful foyer, a vegas-rate bathroom, a beautiful walk-in dressing room and
closet, a wonderful sitting area, and bar area, and a great bed. And a beautiful
balcony! Didn't really need a suite, this room had everything that one would
need.
The rest of the hotel is beautiful -- although we didn't explore much as it felt
kind of weird being what seemed to be the only people in the entire hotel. I'm
sure there were others, but we didn't see anybody else in the hotel for the
entire time.
The location is great -- a little out of the action, but I'm fine with that. The
hotel provides a car service to take you to and from wherever you'd like to go.
All in all, a fantastic experience, and we'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

We loved our stay at the Four Seasons Whistler. The rooms are among the best
I've ever seen in a hotel. The finishes were beautiful, the decor comforting,
the room spacious and very well laid out. I think we had one of the smallest
rooms at the property - but it was one of the larger rooms we've ever stayed in
at a hotel. Just as an example, it had a walk in closet that was about 5 ft by 7
ft - and that was just the closet! I was impressed by the "solidness" of the
structure - you can tell no expense was spared in providing the best. The only
meal we had was breakfast (on two morning). The Fairmont is within walking
distance and we had a very nice dinner there one evening. I'd love to go back to
the Four Seasons again!

We just returned from a 2 night stay in Whistler at the Four Seasons. The hotel
was very nice and looked like the best hotel in Whistler. I booked a Deluxe Room
based on feedback I saw but when we arrived, they upgraded us to a Premier (same
size room but with a mountain view) which was nice. The room was clean, had a
huge walk-in closet and the bed was really comfortable. We stayed at the
Rosewood Hotel Georgia in Vancouver for 3 nights before Whistler which was just
unbelievable and is why I didn't rate the Four Seasons a 5 star. Four Seasons is
a step down in every way (food, amenities, decorating, service) but it is also
cheaper.
It felt like we were the only people staying in the hotel since the end of
September is low season in Whistler but if you don't like crowds and want to try
out attractions other than skiing, I think it is a great time to go.
We had one incident during our stay: we ordered room service for breakfast and
told them that we were in a rush as we had a ziplining booking. They assured us
that the food would be at our room within 45 minutes. After about 1 hour, we
phoned back and cancelled and left. That night, we received a written apology
from the food and beverage manager and a plate of chocolates. I thought they
handled the incident very well and know the timing was tight.
If you go, make sure you eat at the Rimrock Cafe in Creekside: fantastic food.
