Was able to stay at the hotel on a business trip. All of the staff were
wonderful, including the front desk, the Mallard Bar, the restaurant,
even the housekeeping staff was pleasant and polite. Rooms were
comfortable and I had great views of the slopes. All of the food served
throughout the week was exceptional. The breakfast buffet was great - I
don't think they missed a thing - true European buffet. Would highly
recommend for business or pleasure

This was our fourth time staying at the hotel, and it continues to be
the best. I love the service, ski center in the basement, ski-in and
ski-out location and everything else. Everything from being greeted by
name by the staff to having someone come by in the early evening with
water bottles... It's just the best. Sets my standard for what a hotel
and skiing experience should be.
Since we went last, they have updated some of the rooms. Finally a flat
screen TV! I'm looking forward to seeing more updates.
In regards to the room, stay higher up for less crowds - definitely
avoid the 3rd floor if foot traffic bothers you as others have mentioned
since it's the route to the gym/spa.
The one piece I would like to see is an adults only spa section. I love
kids - and I don't mind traveling with them - but when they're screaming
in the hot tub it's a bit of a distraction. We had a few moments at the
hotel when kids were a bit of a distraction - for example the child in
their t shirt and undies screaming in the lounge. No big deal though...
Can't wait to stay again.

We got a good deal on a golf package that made the hotel about US$100 a
night, a bargain. I would not, however, pay $200-$300 a night here. The
hotel itself is beautiful and the amenities like the pool, health club,
lounge and golf course are first rate. Our main problems were with the
staff. The front desk clerk at check in was actually very helpful in
getting us into our room early (one member of our party was feeling ill)
(thanks Andrew!!). However of little things went wrong: the staff
couldn't get a hold of the hotel operated golf course, the desk staff
was polite but unhelpful when a problem with our Presidents Club account
occured and we couldn't get free wi-fi, our key card failed numerous
times and we had to keep treking back to the front desk (not the
employees fault, just annoying). The rooms were Ok, they projected a
sort of faux luxury that didn't really live up to my expectations for a
luxury priced hotel. The bed, however, was very comfy! Also, the
location to Blackcomb was great but it can be a bit of a walk to the
Whistler village. Overall, I wouldn't pay full price for this hotel but
if you get a good deal like I did and set your expectations right, you
can have a great stay!

This is a big luxury resort hotel. We had a room with two queen beds
which was well appointed and large enough for both of us and our two
young children. The Blackcomb lift is just a stone's throw from the
lobby. The main village is a short hike away. The spa, pool and hot tubs
are great. I think I counted three hot tubs, two of which are outdoors.
The staff are cheerful, courteous and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our
stay and look forward to returning soon.

My husband and I are frequent visitors of Whistler, but had never stayed
at the Fairmont. We got an excellent last minute rate, so we decided to
give it a try. Lobby and rooms were graciously appointed despite the
hallway's floral wallpaper that suggested that Princess Di was on her
way. The pools are some of the best in Whistler, and the staff was
exceptional. Ultimately, we prefer the location of the Pan, but The
Fairmont is a good choice for spring skiing when only Blackcomb Gondola
is open.

We had a wonderful stay - from the early check in to late check out to a
room upgrade, the front desk could not have been more accommodating.
Drinks and dinner in The Wildflower were on a par with Araxi, in fact
the wild mushroom soup at Wildflower was way better than the cream of
squash at Araxi. Drinks were better at the Fairmont, too.
Sunday brunch was fantastic, and we did not find the pools or hot tubs
at all crowded before noon. We'll be back, I hope, to one of Whistler's
top places to stay.

the service and staff can't be beat. The food is ok. The location was
perfect. The rooms had much of outside noise. Bring earplugs.
The outdoor pools were filled with too many kids running rampant

Great location for this hotel, its looking a little worn in some of the
rooms but generally what you would expect from a Fairmont Hotel. Lovely
bar and open fire which is just what you need after a day on the slopes. |
