Art Galleries at Whistler

Mountain Galleries at the Fairmont
Open 8 AM to 10 PM every day.

In 1991 artist/filmmaker Wendy Wacko opened a small gallery, Jasper Originals, at the Jasper Park Lodge. After more than a decade of promoting predominantly Western Canadian artists in Jasper, Wendy was offered an opportunity to expand. The Gallery at Chateau Whistler opened its doors to rave reviews in December 2003. The expansion continued when in August 2004 Banff Springs Fine Art became the third gallery to open at a Fairmont Hotel. Thus Mountain Galleries at the Fairmont was born. 4599 Chateau Boulevard

Whistler Village Art Gallery
The Whistler Village Art Gallery is one of Canada’s finest destinations for art where Canadian and international paintings, sculpture and glass are displayed in an elegant and comfortable setting.

One of the most important factors in building a good collection is working with a reputable dealer. Our gallery is the oldest in Whistler and our knowledgeable staff will gladly assist collectors with their purchase. Conveniently located steps from the Whistler Gondola downstairs in the Whistler Delta Resort.

Freestyle Framing and Art Gallery - Full service custom picture frame shop. Custom awards, engraving and nametags. Local and international art, First Nations jewelry and gifts. See Freestyle first for the highest in local quality and personal service.
The Path Gallery is one of Whistler's main resources to see Northwest Coast Salish and First Nations Native artwork.

Feel free to drop by and browse the colourful and engaging collection that includes both miniature and monumental graphic work and jewellery.

The Collection
The collection is drawn primarily from artists living on the Pacific Northwest Coast. Expect to see traditional objects such as jewellery, masks, carved panels, paddles and drums, boxes and contemporary sculpture.

All the items are priced by the artist themselves - not the gallery. This puts emphasis on the artist who can best represent the value of the artwork as he/or she sees fit. The Path Gallery feels honoured that the artists have chosen to be represented among the family of artists featured in The Path Gallery collection.

About the Gallery
The Path Gallery was opened in 2005 by Britt Germann. Britt has worked with Northwest Coast Native art in Whistler Village for almost five years. She has a double major in Fine Art History and Religious studies from the University of Toronto.

Her knowledge on First Nations artwork and the Coast Salish people is vast and continuing to grow. Feel free to ask questions and find out more about this historically important and fascinating subject.
