Hotel Review of the Whistler Village Inn & Suites

OK, it was clean and we liked having the kitchenette. But the Murphy bed
was a first for me. I thought they stopped using those in the 1940's.
The layout out was odd. You could not see the TV from the bed.

We were on a short trip to Whistler. We checked in, everything was o.k.
in the room, then went for a walk. When we came back after about two
hours, we noticed an empty bottle of juice sitting right in the middle
of the living room... Did not know what to think, if it was just a bad
joke, or if somebody broke in the room... Went to the reception, told
the story, and the receptionist, very calm, just said that she was at
the desk all the time, so she does not have any way to tell if anybody
else was in the room. Talked to the manager and she said that maybe the
maid just drank the juice and accidentally left the bottle in the
room... I know it is not a big deal, but did not expected such an
attitude from this class of hotel. Other than that, there were no other
'surprises'. Breakfast was a mediocre continental buffet. Would not stay
there again.

We chose to stay in a Queen loft room. The rooms have nice décor however
I think way too much furniture for the space. Thankfully there were only
two of us but anymore, you wouldn’t have been able to move. The balcony
was nice with a good view. The stairs to the loft were very creaky which
disturbed the other person during the night. The Queen bed was a little
smaller than a regular Queen, the mattress soft and we kept rolling in
to each other. Internet and parking were an additional cost. We paid for
one internet and were able to piggyback our second laptop off the first
connection so we got two for the price of one.
We arrived the last day of the Whistler ski season and the place was
packed. 2 hours later it was deserted. Blackcomb Mountain was still open
for another month and for sightseers they offered $20 ticket which got
us up the Gondola and Chairlift for a lovely view of the mountain.
Outstanding!

Good location but the bed was a Murphy bed and was NOT comfortable at
all. After a hard days skiing you want a real bed not a 4 inch box
spring set up.
Also - I left an expensive curling iron hanging in the closet to cool
off the morning we left. When I called later that day they claimed not
to have it. I know exactly where I left it and found it pretty appalling
that an expensive hotel like this has a theft issue.
We would not stay here again or advise anyone else to.

Fully equipped room, with hot-tub downstairs. (was in Powder lodge,
there is also a keg lodge across the driveway, but same hotel) .
You can walk to the lifts to either Whistler or Backcomb, in ski boots!
Quiet corner, no through traffic, and out of earshot of the Olympics
razzmatazz.
Casual, comfortable facilities, for self catering.

This Hotel was a decent value, close to the lifts, in the heart of the
village-an all around great location.
We only had one night there but would stay there again if we get that
way again
For the money we spent, it is a great hotel
