Hotel Review of the Listel Whistler Hotel
Feb 13, 2011
My partner and I came to Whistler for the Winter Pride week and were originally
booked in to another hotel in the village, after spending our first 2 nights
sleepless at out first choice we were told about the Listel. Formerly a best
western we were sceptical of the Hotel, but after walking in and receiving the
friendliest smile and hello in a while we decided to cancel our current booking
and stay here. The price was a little more but the service and having the Bear
Foot Bistro with in arms reach made up for the difference. Overall our week
started of poor, but ended on an amazing high.
anyone looking to come to Whistler should definitely give this little gem a try

The Listel is a no-frills hotel with a great location in the Whistler village.
It is a 3 minute walk to the lifts or anything else in the village. The hotel is
clean with basic rooms (think Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn type rooms). There is a
restaurant and a bar in the hotel (didn't try it) free wi-fi, 2 public
computers, hot tub/pool, and a ski valet. There is also a Starbucks right around
the corner. This is a good hotel if you are budget minded and want to be close
to everything.

We stayed at the Listel in Whistler back in December and absolutely loved it.
The overhight parking was perfect for our truck and difficult to find. The
location was close enough to everything, about a 3 minute walk to the lifts and
within seconds from the grocery store, restaurants, and a few night clubs... yet
it was surprisingly tucked away enough to be quiet and hidden. The bathroom was
HUGE and the towel warmer was a nice touch. Bed was very comfy and the thick
curtains kept the morning sunshine out of the room until we were ready to wake
up. Overall this was a great stay!

Stayed at the Listel for the first time in January. What a great hotel! I have
been going to Whistler for years and stayed at different places but I am very
happy and impressed by the Listel hotel. The staff were very gracious, the rooms
were clean, beds comfortable, awesome location, the value was great for ski
season. And the best was having someone take our ski's, no hauling them down to
the garage area and a locker. I was very happy with my stay and plan to stay
here many more times!

This is a great hotel. Not one of the fanciest, but very nice for the price. I
also like that it is in the main village but not next to any clubs or above the
main walkways, so it was quiet at night. The outdoor heated pool and hottub were
great. The room was clean, spacious and the furnishings were tasteful. But the
best past was the service. Everyone we interacted with was helpful, pleasant,
kind and knowledgeable. They have a few rooms set aside for people with pets. We
brought my dogs and they made us feel that the dogs were truly welcome.

We stayed here just a few weeks back and had a great experience. The hotel was a
Best Western but is now transitioning to a boutique/high-end hotel. The rooms
have nice furniture and come with a flat screen TV (27-32 inch). The hotel has a
valet service for your snowboard and skis which is really nice. You have to call
at least 15 mins ahead of time to get your board though. The hot tub and sauna
need to be upgraded but are serviceable. The Bearfoot Bistro is a great
restaurant with service that is impeccable. The wine cellar and frozen vodka
room are also a fun and luxurious setting for a drink. Lastly, the location of
the hotel is great and is within 3 minutes of the gondola to both Whistler and
Blackcomb and the Whistler Village. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a
friend or a family.
