Happy with my stay there
The room (a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom, but with access only to one bedroom
and one bathroom) was spacious, well equipped, and comfortable. The
hotel seems a bit old and would deserve a renovation (sofa, walls and
carpets) but I am generally satisfied with my stay there. Had to pay
parking extra, which it seems is the case for all Whistler hotels.

Whistler’s home away from home
Stayed at the Tantalus for a week while mountain biking in Whistler, it
was an excellent experience. The Beds were comfy, the couch was comfy,
the shower was hot, a perfect home away from home. And not to mention
you’re only 5 minutes away from Whistler village.

We stayed at the Tantalus Lodge on the spur of the moment. We made the
arrangements through the Central Whistler booking number after spending
the day in Whistler. It was very inexpensive, but the suite was
beautiful! Full kitchen, dishwasher, and a porch looking directly at the
mountain! The staff was very friendly, and the pool and hot tubs were
clean and just the right temperatures. The only problem was the bed - it
was very uncomfortable (lumpy and hard), there was very little bedding
and pillows, and the sheets were not soft or comfy. We also had the
housekeeper walk into our room at 9:30 in the morning - it was a little
awkward! You also have to pay $16.00 for parking, but it's in a secured
underground lot. Great place - will probably stay again next summer!

The welcoming lobby has high beamed ceiling and rock fireplace. Check-in
was efficient. The halls are tired. The rooms are two bedroom full
suites with balcony, fireplace, micro, flat screen, kitchen, wall safe
etc. They are two bedroom condos with some owners locking out a bedroom
and bathroom. The walk to town is under 10 minutes. The rooms are dated
but totally adequate. There is an outdoor pool and hot tubs. It isn't
the Westin next door, but at $85/night it was more than OK. Wireless was
$4.95/24 hours. There is no restaurant or bar but some vending machines
for coffee and snacks.

I only needed one bedroom, but was booked into a two bedroom, two
bathroom rather tawdry suite. Their suggested price was $180/night, plus
taxes, plus $16 parking (outside). If I wanted internet, there was an
additional charge. The halls were worn, and most of the insuite
furniture was old, dated and in mediocre condition. The fireplace
required a $4 presto log, should a fire be needed.

Great location and not too expensive!
This was a last minute booking and the Tantalus Lodge turned out to be a
great choice. The location of the hotel was great with it being so close
to whistler village and the ski lifts making it a great choice. The
Hotel was fine and accommodated us well but could probably do with a
refresh in places. I would recommend this as a great location when
visiting Whistler, it has specious rooms and the Hotel service was
brilliant. It has a shuttle bus so you don’t have to carry your skis
which is a great option. Worth a visit if you are going skiing in
whistler.

Great hotel at a reasonable price
Would definitely recommend this hotel. Best part was the two outdoor hot
tubs and swimming - we were lucky enough to have it snow on top of us
while we were in them!
