Hotel Review of the Listel Whistler Hotel

We always stay at the Listel while in Whistler. Great amenities, warm and
comfortable rooms, especially the Jr. Suites.
The staff are always very accommodating as well as helpful.
The Bare Foot Bistro has incredible food, whether it be Dinner or Breakfast.
We stay at least 8 times a year on business trips.
Centre of the Village, you can easily walk anywhere.

Price is crazy for what you get. One plug in the room to use for the lap top and
it's under a table on the far side of the room. House keeping didn't clear the
alarms so at 4am the previous guest had me awake at 4AM! Kids running up and
down the hall late at night and early in the morning. $18 for poor parking!
Price is out to lunch for what you get. This should be a $89-99 a room place not
$150-250 and even at that i've had better service and more caring state at a
lower priced hotel. Very sad, will never stay there again

Last 10 years, I often used this hotel for good location and clean room, but I
wonder this is under the new management now. For this price, I did not expect
five-star service but I did not expect to sleep in a smelly (probably cigarette
and many wet sky jackets?) room and use bathroom with very smelly shower curtain
and broken hair dryer. The front guy was very unfriendly, no smile on his face
at all and not very efficient. (but bell boys and cleaning lady were nice) Very
LOW speed internet and inconvenient valet parking. I will not come back again.

We booked this on a spur of the moment and were pleased with the choice. It is
well located with a very short walk to the gondolas and lifts in Whistler
Village. It is clean and well kept. The only thing was the restaurant/club had a
party going on that one could hear fairly easily in our 2nd floor room. Service
was super friendly and made good recommendations for activities. We only stayed
one night but they offered to have us shower and change clothes in their fitness
center after a day of skiing despite having checked out. |
