Hotel Review of the Whistler Village Inn & Suites

Slept not a wink first night due to constant shouting, mostly curse words, from
group of young thugs crammed into the room across the hall. Walls are also paper
thin.

Amazing Value and lots of extras
We really enjoyed the location and the front staff was very nice. We stayed Dec
19- Dec 23 with a toddler in a one bedroom suite. Bottom Line: It is extremely
well value, the best in Whistler in my opinion. The location is great. The hotel
staff is very nice and helpful, the rooms are clean, there is allot of space,
and the kitchen is a nice bonus. Plus, who doesn't appreciate a nice wood
fireplace and a great balcony. The shampoo smells good also but the sinks in the
bathroom was very short. The Murphy bed was nice because it folded up and made
the room VERY roomy so our child could run around, play, set up puzzles, i mean
there was ALOT of space. I am used to the more closed-in feel like the Listel,
Hilton, Fairmont but this felt alot more open and it was surprisingly VERY nice.
HOWEVER, it was not as comfortable as those 3 hotels beds. I think it wasn't the
bed but rather the bedding, i missed the down comforters, down pillows, and
feather mattress toppers that i am used too. Next time i will bring my own
blanket and pillow. Also, it was nice that the ski storage was actually on the
way to the slopes unlike other hotels were its often in an odd location. Plus
its just an open locker garage area next to the lobby. Again open, you dont have
to weave around people. Actually, out of Fairmont, Hilton, Listel, the ski area
was the best for our needs. In and out in 30 seconds flat :)

would go back, it was a good deal on hotel not too expensive
Overall the hotel was nice, the other thing is that the bed was a pull out so it
wasn’t a separate room from the kitchen and the living room area. The hotel was
very cold but they had a portable heater.

Not impressed.
When we arrived, the hotel had no record of our reservation until I showed them
the confirmation. She then went on line and found us. Luckily, they found us a
room but, unluckily, the toilet did not work and had an extreme overflow in
bathroom. The hotel was prompt in taking care the problem but was indifferent
about both situations. They said there was room for four but very uncomfortable
if more than two stayed. Only sleeping area was a loft with two beds squeezed in
a too small of a space. So close you could hardly get around them. Would have
loved to look out the window into the village, however, our view was blocked by
over grown trees in front of the window. The chairs in the living room were the
most uncomfortable chair I ever sat in.

As we went during the low season the hotel gave us an upgrade to a queen loft
room at no extra charge. Great hotel, good location for ski lifts. Would stay
here again.
