My wife won a prize package that included a 3 night stay at this hotel.
At the hotel recommendation, we opted to upgrade the 3 night stay to a 2
night stay in a 1bedroom suite with "fantastic mountain view". After a
check-in delay seemingly caused by being fully booked night before, we
arrived in our room to find far less than any reasonable view, unless
you liked tree trunks. I went to front desk and wth capable assist of
front desk clerk "Nikki", was able to secure another room, only 1 floor
higher but at least with some sort of the promised view. Nikki provided
very professional service and to recognize some issues we had
encountered, waived the parking fee. This hotel appears to be a
converted condo project and is located well away from Whistler Village
itself. In fact well away from any amenities. In summer you can opt to
walk down the adjoining ski slope (which we did ) or take free shuttle.
The suite offered full kitchen faculties and was of average condition,
but quite clean. There is no air conditioning in the rooms which may be
OK for winter visitors, but not so great in warmer weather. At least
evenings cool off and with windows open room is comfortable to sleep in.
This hotel appears to be moderately priced and for an extra fee, also
allows pets, which coupled with daily free breakfast (which is a
highlight of the hotel in my view), provides reasonable value for family
stays. The pool is undersized for the number of guests, but the 2 hot
tubs provide a relaxing opportunity at end of the day, once the crowds
have vacated the area. Although we did enjoy our stay overall, I would
not likely stay here again, primarily because of distance from the
Village where majority of our time is spent. Access is not overly
difficult, just inconvenient. However, I can see this as a good family
place to stay, particularly in Winter with ski in and out privileges. In
that respect, can't beat the location for that.

We went up to Whistler to see the opening concert at the new Olympic
Plaza, got a great last minute deal and were really happy with our stay
at the Coast. Yes, it is a bit out of the way from the main Village, but
there is a free shuttle that runs regularly back and forth and as we are
active people it was not an issue for us, plus it was quieter at night
for the most part. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk down the hill,
through the Upper Village and across to The Main Village Stroll. Note
that there are cafes and restaurants in the Upper Village as well, plus
a beer and wine store and gear rental shops. Great location for
Blackcomb in the winter months. We had a one-bedroom suite and it was
spacious, clean and comfortable, plus a large balcony that overlooked
the ski run with some mountain view. Rooms facing the other side of the
valley would have better views, but I believe ours was one of the larger
suites. Breakfast buffet is included, and if it's busy in the dining
area there are about 5 more tables outside (summer) or just take your
food up to your room and eat there! Breakfast fairly plain but
plentiful, just ask a staff member or wait about 5 minutes for
containers to be refilled, all the staff are eager to help. We enjoyed
having a good sized kitchen in the suite as we have a child with dietary
restrictions so we did alot of our own cooking. No, there is no bar!
Plenty of bars in the Village. BYOB to your suite, maybe make some new
friends by the pool as we did, have your own party. We didn't have any
issues with cleanliness or noisy people, although there were some in
another area of the hotel. The pool was clean and a nice temperature if
a bit worn. The two hottubs were a treat, one warm-hot & one hot-hot.
Note that parking costs $15 per day. We received a note that stated we
were welcome on check-out day to leave our vehicle in the underground
plus use the pool until 6pm, which is nice if you want more time to
shop/eat/ski/bike etc. Parking fees are in effect throughout Whistler
now, I think most hotels charge a parking fee so this is not unique to
this accommodation. All in all we felt very comfortable here and would
stay again. What Guests are saying about Coast Hotel Whistler Blackcomb

We had a 7 night stay in a cosy studio suite looking out over the front
of the hotel with nice views of trees and mountains. The studio was well
maintained and very comfortable. The studio had a comfy sofa, an arm
chair and a gas ' log' fire!
We really enjoyed being able to ski in / ski out right from the door.
The location is superb - particularly if you like to be in a quiet area
e.g. the upper village. The breakfast was good and enough to keep you
going 'til lunch time! It was useful to be able to have access to a
computer free of charge too. The free, regular shuttle picked up
passengers about every 10 -15 minutes to take you ' down town' and back.
Many thanks for a great stay!
We highly recommend Blackcomb Suites.

Our family had two rooms for 3 nights at Coast Blackcomb. The location
could not have been better has we were able to ski in and out from our
hotel. Their complimentary continental breakfast was probably the best
we ever had as it was not just cold food, but in fact, we had hot food
as well. The staff was so helpful with suggestions of things to do for
me on the day I did not ski. The location is away from the busy centre
which was great as we were able to spend good family time after skiing.
Can't wait to go back
