Hotel Review of the
Alpenglow Lodge at Whistler
April 9, 2010
For the price, and the location, this was a good value. The front desk
service was noticeably absent at times, and given that the location is
in a high traffic area there is understandably significant security but
without a staffer there this can be a little frustrating with the
magnetic card reader to enter / exit the property. For breakfast, if you
want the absolutely best and most wonderful breakfast you have had and
want it served in style, go to Crepe Montagne right across the street.
Don’t let a short line deter you, the service is fast and friendly (it’s
not great for large groups-more than 4-people though, as it’s a small
French-style creperie). This was the best breakfast / brunch I’ve ever
had with the most wonderful (English-speaking French) service in
Whistler.
Hotel Review of the
Alpenglow Lodge at Whistler

All in all i really enjoyed staying at this place, despite the reviews.
Check in was no problem we got there at 9 AM they gave us a place to get
changed and leave our bags while they got our room ready. The room was
nothing special but clean and had everything we needed. Sleeping at
night was not a problem contrary to other reviews the noise was not a
problem and we were facing the street. This place is like a 15 min walk
to the gondolas and about a 10 min walk to the bars and clubs. The only
thing was one night the hot tub was totally full and the people stayed
there for hours. Didn't get to soak that night but oh well.
