Hotel Review of the Whistler Village Inn & Suites
20 September 2011
This has to one of the best experiences I have had in travel. Whistler itself is
enchanting and the Village Inn is the same. The rooms were very cosy and there
was lots to do within the hotel itself, from enjoying local food and hospitality
to the luxurious bars and restaurants. The hotels outdoor spa area proved to be
a firm favourite with the teenagers. The whole ambiance of the place brings back
special thoughts and memories and wishes to go back for a longer time. Whilst we
were there we got to see a bear, down at the bottom of the village beside the
Olympic Rings. Overall I would rate this Hotel as 5stars for the entertainment,
hospitality and comfort . There was free parking spaces at the door for disabled
people. A brilliant experience.

Excellent proximity to the village. Rooms were a nice size, clean, and the beds
were very comfortable. Great value for the money, will definitely stay here
again.

The location is fantastic for a girls' weekend trip to Whistler in the summer.
Right in the middle of the village just steps from all the restaurants and bars.
We stayed in a suite that slept max 6 people. The kitchen in the suite is very
handy although we didn't use it much. The room isn't superb but it is decent for
the price we paid. Quiet and with plenty of space for all of us.Hotel Review of the Whistler Village Inn & Suites

Booked the room with the queen loft for a group of friends/students for five
days of skiing. The room included a small kitchenette that we used almost every
night to cook meals, which was convenient for us. The room had a Murphy bed, a
pull-out couch and the queen sized bed in the loft and sported an outdoor pool
and hot tub. It was nothing fancy but was practical for us and was clean.
The location was excellent, just a couple minutes walk to the lifts & Whistler
Village. The price was pretty decent for Whistler as well, which is the main
reason we booked at this hotel. There is a restaurant (the Keg) either beside or
in the hotel (not sure as we didn't go).
Staff were friendly and helpful.
The only downside that we experienced (which can be be a safety concern) was
that the day of our checkout, the light in the bathroom exploded, bulb & cover,
shattering right beside me when I was in the washroom, which was both odd and
disconcerting as the light had only been switched on perhaps 10 min before and
could have injured someone. We were checking out 20 minutes later and notified
the front desk about it. Hopefully this issue was checked out as it poses
security concerns....
I'm not sure if I would recommend this hotel for families/older couples as a lot
of young adults were there and were somewhat noisy (and obviously drunk) at
times. But for anyone who is easygoing and doesn't mind a bit of noise here and
there, it's a very decent place to stay.
All in all, aside from the mishap (which happens, unfortunately), we all had a
nice stay at the hotel and would return again! :)
