Hotel Review of the Hilton

My wife and I stayed for one night in September on the way to the
Rockies. Parking was expensive but not unexpected so ok. Situated right
in the village.
We had a junior suite on the 3rd floor. Our suite had an outside patio
and a small kitchenette with coffee maker, dishwasher, small countertop
range and oven & microwave. There was a nice size flat screen TV with a
remote control and safe with a full selection of teas and coffee. We
asked for a kettle which was supplied in minutes.
Our king size bed was cozy with nice fresh sheets and lots of pillows
which were the softest we had experienced and we were given web site to
purchase some by the concierge.
The service was good and not pushy or overbearing. We were able to store
our cases during day so we could explore Whistler and go on the ski
lift. Overall we enjoyed our one night stay and would stay at the Hilton
again.
Highly recommended and we thought excellent value for money.

I stayed 3 nights for a work conference and while the room was
comfortable, with amenities such as robes, slippers, Crabtree and Evelyn
bath products etc., the rooms themselves were a bit noisy. I am by no
means a light sleeper, but routinely heard people coming into and out of
their rooms and blowing their noses from their washrooms. Also, the bed
and pillows were too soft for my liking. Staff were decent, not overly
warm, but did their Jobs sufficiently well. As far as location, it was
unbeatable, right in the heart of whistler village

My partner and I stayed for one night in September at the Hilton in
Whistler. Our check in went smoothly and quickly and we both snagged one
of the free chocolate chip cookies at the check in counter.
We self parked in the underground parkade, a bit pricey at $27 per night
but compares to like facilities in Whistler. We had our bikes attached
and locked to a bike rack on the vehicle and with the secured gate to
the parkade didn't worry about them.
Access to the secured parking lot requires a room card and access from
the parking lot to the lobby also requires a room card.
We had a junior suite on the ground floor. Our suite had an outside
patio and a small kitchenette with coffee maker, dishwasher, small
countertop range and microwave. There was a nice size Phillips TV with a
remote control. There was free wifi in the room and it worked fine with
a strong connection.
Our king size bed was cozy with nice fresh sheets and lots of pillows.
Although we could hear music from the bar in the hallway outside our
room, once we got inside the room the music was blocked out. However, we
could hear vacuuming from the room above.
The bathroom is a good size with a full tub/shower combination and nice
toiletries from Crabtree and Evelyn. I found the body wash to be
refreshing and rejuvenating.
My partner and I wanted to sleep and so I inquired about a later check
out - 12pm instead of 11am. There was no hesitation to accommodate my
request and the front desk service was very polite in dealing with me.
We used the pool and 1 of the 2 hot tubs, the inside hot tub is
definitely warmer. Although it was a cool September day the pool
temperature was warm enough to be comfortable.
We went to the bar for drinks and were served up a complimentary big
bowl of nuts/snacks to go with our beers. The service was good and not
pushy or overbearing.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay at the Hilton again.

Spacious rooms, immaculate, wonderful service and best of all the
Whistler Village is right outside the back door of this property. One of
the best Hilton resorts I have stayed at.

I stayed in the summer of 2011 and the hotel was very beautiful (better
than the Westin - it felt more "hotelly" and less "lodge". The service
was great and it is located right in the walking village and at the base
of Whistler. |
