i stayed at Adara hotel on Thursday Sep1, 2011 with my fiancée and my 12
years old sister ( and my shih tzu ). we wanted a small get away up in
whistler to enjoy before my sister starts school. when we first arrived
the place was modern and clean. we booked a king studio but we wanted a
bigger room because my sister ended up coming with us and not staying at
my parents hotel ( Hilton ). i asked to see both room and the woman was
pretty rude never even start a convo in the elevator. as for me, i
started a convo asking if there was a jazz festival ( my friend told me
about ) and her reply was " i dont keep update on whats going on the
village ". My partner and I looked at each other in shock.
anyways, i respect that it was a pet friendly environment. but the place
was dirty. shower head was gross. ( i didnt take a shower the first day-
and second i took a shower downstairs in the pool shower) there was
stain on the towel. we payed almost 200 a night together and it was not
worth it. the only thing i liked about this hotel was its close to
everything and its dog friendly. other then that its not worth staying
here. i rather spend extra to stay in a nicer hotel i mean CLEANER
HOTEL.

Being in Whistler in the evening is as much fun as being on the bike, on
the lifts and away from the shops during the day - and we had a great
time. We had a south-facing balcony and lovely sized room. We want to go
back in Winter. The hotel position makes it. We parked in a free carpark
(72 hours).Guests Reviews about the Adara Hotel Whistler

We made our reservation with the Adara based on prior trip-advisor
reviews (at one point they were ranked 4th). By the time we had checked
in the hotel had dropped to about 27th. We stayed for 4 nights and our
room was never vacuumed or swept and our sheets were not changed. When
we asked about this - the hotel staff stated that the hotels policy is
to clean rooms every 4 nights. The hotel is located above a bar so our
room was noisy. We paid about $230 a night - other hotels nearby had
similar rates but unfortunately we chose the Adara.

Traveled with a group of friends for a 3 night stay at Adara. The
locations is great, and the room is nice, though issues lied more with
the staff. Upon check in we were told that we would have an early check
in, when we arrived they said the room was not ready. My friends wife is
pregnant so they got the room quickly sorted. We stayed in the two
bedroom suite which is good value for the money. Our bose dock system
did not work, I informed them to perhaps replace it, they never did
that. The next day, no one came into clean, and we were told that in
order for the cleaning staff to clean up the room our pet had to be out.
That is fine, but let us know in advance. Overall, the room was just ok,
and I don't think i'd stay again.

I enjoyed our stay at the Adara. The location is fantastic, right off
the village stroll and about 2 mins from the Gondolas. This hotel felt
intimate and welcoming. The lobby had hot apple cider, chilled lemon
water and coffee in the morning which was nice. I quite enjoyed arriving
back through the heavy red doors after a busy day.
The hot tub has a nice view of the ski hill and was empty while we were
there. The hot tub is right beside the door and changing area which is
great for those cold view seconds when it's time to go back inside!
We stayed on the 3rd floor and had no issue with noise, we were on the
ski hill side. We very much enjoyed the sexy bathroom which had a nice
walk in shower with a rain shower.
We met some exceptionally nice and friendly staff. The wireless internet
worked well in our room. We ordered breakfast from Ric's which was
delivered on schedule but was a tad disappointing.
I would stay here again. |
